This year, we turn 10! 🙌

Over the past decade, we’ve grown alongside our clients, our team, and an industry that doesn’t stand still. We’ve tested ideas, made decisions we’d revisit, and found solutions that consistently hold up.
We don’t have all the answers, but here are 10 lessons that have shaped how we build and grow:
1. Hire for fit, not just skill

Building a team takes time. The right combination of people makes all the difference in how work gets done. We’ve learned that strong resumes don’t always translate into strong teams. We look for curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to grow. Skills can be developed. Fit is harder to teach.
2. Retention is a growth strategy
Keeping a team together creates momentum.High turnover slows things down and creates uncertainty, both internally and for clients. A stable team builds trust, operates more efficiently, and delivers better work over time.
3. Culture shows up in how you work

How people communicate, handle pressure, and support each other defines the environment.
We take the work seriously, but we don’t believe in creating unnecessary pressure. At the end of the day, we’re saving PDFs, not lives. It’s all about maintaining perspective through the thick of it!
4. People need space to be human
Work and life don’t operate on separate timelines, and personal lives don’t magically switch off at 9:00AM.
When people are given the flexibility to handle what they need to, they show up more focused and more present in their work. Whether it’s family related or just a bad day, giving people the room to be themselves makes the work better.
5. Discomfort is part of growth
Some of the most valuable progress comes from stepping into unfamiliar situations.
That could mean taking on new challenges, starting conversations, or asking questions that aren’t always easy to raise. Growth often comes from navigating situations that feel unfamiliar at first.
6. Alignment matters in client relationships

Working with the right clients shapes the quality of the work.
Shared expectations, similar working styles, and mutual trust lead to stronger outcomes and longer-term partnerships.
7. Process supports better work
Clear structure helps teams stay focused.
When roles, workflows, and systems are defined, there’s less confusion and more momentum. People know what to do, and can get to the real work faster.
Clarity doesn’t slow teams down. It creates momentum and velocity.
8. Brand builds over time
Positioning takes consistency.
Every interaction, deliverable, and experience contributes to how a business is perceived. Over time, those touchpoints add up.
9. Growth has multiple dimensions
Revenue is only one of many measurements of success.
Client relationships, team health, and the quality of the work all play a role in how a business progresses.
10. Consistency compounds
Steady progress tends to outperform short bursts of intensity.
Across client work, team development, and impact initiatives, small actions repeated over time create momentum.
Looking ahead

The next decade will look different.
What worked yesterday doesn't always work tomorrow. But here's the thing: we thrive in the unknown. Every brief starts with a blank page, every challenge has a new way forward. We don’t just adapt to change, we build within it. When the path isn’t clear, creativity becomes our compass.
And we’ll keep building with the same goal we started with: Doing great work for the right reasons.
